Basic Helmet Set Up Buyer’s Guide

This post is designed to help augment our Tech Tip Video on YouTube about helmet set up showing where Josh bought all his helmet components.

Here is my Amazon bump helmet.

This links to a solid surplus military helmet at the same price point roughly as mine with the same specs.

These are some of the best pads on the market.

Currently, I’m running these pads because they came with my high cut helmet.

GNTEC makes my favorite harness.

TNVC makes my favorite counterweight.

Here is the Amazon counterweight seen on the bump helmet.

Wilcox makes the best mounts and NVG mounts in my opinion currently. If cost wasn’t a factor I’d have one on all of my helmets. Here is the link to the one I use on my bump helmet.

The military issues Norotos base plates which is what’s seen on my ballistic helmet. Buying them from eBay is very cost-effective if you’re looking for a deal. Otherwise here is the exact one from TNVC.
